It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas!!

Each year I look forward to going and cutting down our Christmas tree, this year was no different.  Of course mom looks for the tallest and even then we put it on top of a barrel so we have room for presents underneath.  The one we got this year is about 12 feet tall.  I can't wait to put decorations on it tomorrow, now if only I could find our stockings we would be set.

the Anderson Family

My absolutely wonderful neighborhood, who just so happens to be pregnant like me, asked me to take a couple quick pictures before her baby shower today and I couldn't have been happier to do so.

the Hissong Family

I can not thank my cousin enough for lending me her husband to photography my wedding.  He did such a great job and we are truly thankful.  And I couldn't think of a better way to pay them back then to do a family mini session for them.  There two kiddos are the cutest and had so much fun running around the park.  Thank you Jodi and Brian for a great day!!

Jazmine & Dalton's Wedding

I was honored when my cousin asked me to photography his wedding, but also a little nervous.  So I asked my sister to help.  We had so much fun spending the day together and taking pictures.  Jazmine and Dalton we a joy to work with.  Jazmine and Dalton went to elementary school together but at the time really didn't pay much attention to each other.  Now years later they are tying the knot and I couldn't be more excited for them.  Congrats to you both. xoxo

Calvert Cliffs

For our last summer adventure we went to Calvert Cliff's. I have to say the kids were troopers and had a blast.  It was a 1.8 mile walk to the beach and then another 1.8 mile walk back to the car.  What a great way to spend the last couple days of summer. And the icing on the cake was the fact that the kids found 8 sharks teeth.

Plumpton Zoo, Rising Sun, MD

Yesterday we took a day trip to the Plumpton Zoo.  I had never been there before and absolutely loved it!!! Not only can you view the animals from a far but you can also feed and pet some the them.  My favorite was Jimmie the giraffe.  The kids asked if we could go back next year, they had so much fun. The stop at the creamery after might have had something to do with that. lol

Sometimes you just need a Vacation

We have been going and going lately, so on Saturday we decided we needed a beach break.  My Tamagotchi Mom spent the week at the beach so at 5:30am we packed up the car and sent for a drive.  For the most part I we sat on the beach and just watched the waves but I did manage to snap a couple shots through out the day.

Boy do I miss the beach already!!!

Visiting Gram

My grandmother lives in southern Maryland in a retirement community.  When my parents owned their boat we used to go down and see her two or three times a month, but now that they have sold the boat we don't get down there as much.  Last weekend we decided to go for a visit and install her new weather system.  Her community is so pretty and it is right on the Patuxent River, it makes a great spot for pictures.

Kinderfarm Park

Before we started getting all of this sticky, hot weather the kids and I took a field trip to Kinderfarm Park.  There is two sides to the park the first one is the sports complex where kids play soccer, lacrosse, and football and the other side is the jungle gym, the pond, and the farm.  Around both sides is a trail that I ran a couple winters ago when I did the Valentine's Day 5k.  For todays trip I decided to park on the sports complex side and walk the trail a little while before getting to the jungle gym and farm.

We had so much fun and I found a lot of great places to take pictures in the future.  Even though we walked well over three miles (tracked with my fitbit, lol) when we got back to the house the kids were ready to go and swam in the pool the rest of the day.  I was beat!!
